Operating The Taiwanese Chin Hung Kinwa CH-430X1100 Center Lathe
This section of the ModelEngineeringInThailand.com website is dedicated to my experience of operating the Kinwa CH-430 X 1100 centre lathe I bought to make the 6″ scale Little Samson Traction Engine.
I bought a used Kinwa CH-430X1100 center lathe together with a large Argo 3VH milling machine from an associate in Bangkok as described on the Buying A Big Lathe In Thailand Page on this website.
I have discovered that the initials CH stand for Ching Hung of the Ching Hung machinery Co Ltd company in Taiwan.
Until recently I have not used the lathe but a I have just spent a few days screw-cutting 5/8″ BSW (Whitworth) threads each 2″ long on twenty four steel rods.
