RS is a well known company all over the world.

I believe it was once called Radio Spares (correct me if I am wrong) hence the name RS.

This is what the RS website claims:-

“Conveniently browse over 550,000 products, thousands of technical documents and data sheets, check stock availability, order, pay, and lots more all at RS Online. With RS Online you have instant access to hundreds of new products that we add every month.”

It’s clear when you visit the website that there are indeed thousands of products and tools available to the model engineer in Thailand. These are the main categories:-

• IT, Test & Safety Equipment

We model engineers in thailand are probably more interested in the “Mechanical Products & Tools” category so let’s drill into that. these are the sub-categories:-

How To Buy

This is where the RS Online website starts to get a bit flaky for non-Thai speakers.

I tried to but a milling cutter and managed to get it into the shopping basket. But when I tried to checkout all the information, Forms and buttons were in the Thai language.

Similarly I tried to create an account but it was all in Thai.

I suppose I could ask Kanyah to sit beside me and translate as we go through a purchasing process. i could even make a full movie of it so that other non-Thai speakers could follow the process.

Unfortunately Kanyah has a bit of a short attention span and doesn’t like doing that kind of thing. AlsO I don’t have the time right now.

So unfortunately RS Online will have to stay on the back burner for the time being.

If any reader can offer any help or guidance I would appreciate it as I’m sure so would all the other model engineers in Thailand.
